Do I need to schedule a time to tour the space?

Yes, please schedule a time with the Event Center Supervisor to schedule your tour. We don't conduct tours while the space is rented, so please work with us to schedule a time to see our venue.

Can I put a tentative hold on the date?

Accepted Answer

In order to reserve a date, you must to book it. Requirements for booking are: completed facility use agreement, sign the page with the pricing of the year of your event, and 1/2 of the base rent for the deposit. If your event is less than 30 days away, full payment of all estimated charges are due.

When is the final payment due?

Final payments are due 30 days prior to the event.

What is the capacity?

300 people is the max capacity depending on auxiliary items. Feel free to reach out to us and we can discuss any concerns you may have.

What are the options for a ceremony?

There are several ceremony options available. You can have an outdoor ceremony at the performance stage (an additional $250 outdoor stage rental fee will apply). Ceremonies can also take place inside the Event Center. Contact Devyn to discuss which option may be best for you.

Question 6

What spaces are included in the rental?

When renting the Event Center, the reception hallway, ballroom, outdoor covered patio, and the immediate grass space up to the sidewalk are included.  Spaces beyond the sidewalk are public.

Can we bring our own beverages?

Accepted Answer

The Copperfield holds the alcohol license for the facility.  All alcohol service must be arranged with The Copperfield.  No outside alcohol is allowed and if found is subject to forfeit of the damage deposit and/or additional fees.

Can we rent the event center and curl?

Yes! Curling is a great team building experience and a great way to socialize and break up a day of meetings or to kickoff an evening social/banquet.  Learn more about group curling events.

Will there be staff onsite during my event if we have any questions?

Yes, there will be staff onsite during the entirety of your event.  They will be able to assist with any questions or concerns.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the case of event cancellation, all payments made to the CEC are non-refundable, except for the damage deposit and security fee, as identified within the Event Agreement.

All cancellations must be made in writing. Event dates and payments are non-transferable. Date changes are treated as cancellations.

Can I setup the day before my event?

Set up of your event the day before, or tear down the day after is allowed, but any rental fees for that date/time will apply.

Do you have parking?

Our parking lot has 190 parking spaces, 11 HDCP spaces, and 2 electric car charging stations. Additional parking can be found at Veterans Park or across the street in Downtown Chaska.  Downtown Chaska Parking Guide(pdf)
